Every year DPIFF awards are held to honour the brilliance of Indian Cinema. This year too the prestigious awards are slated to take place next month. Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022 Press Conference started on a high note. Abhishek Mishra, who is serving as the Advisory Panel Member of Central Board of Film Certification into Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India and is the CEO of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film , made an official statement on the first big night of the year. He greeted the audience with a warm welcome as the Press Conference commenced with the lighting of the lamp.

He announced that the DPIFF awards would be held in Mumbai at Taj Lands End, on February 20, 2022. It is the very first occasion in Indian History that three broad segments like Indian Film Industry, Indian Television Industry & International Film Fraternity are being honoured under one roof. Revealing the highlights & theme for the grand ceremony Abhishek said, “Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022 will be held on February 20 and streamed live on ZEE5 from 7PM onwards. The occasion will celebrate the grandeur of Indian Cinema and commemorate 75 years of Independence (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav). The ceremony will showcase cultural diversity, rich heritage, world famous Indian cuisine, folk dance, folk music and the beauty of swadeshi.”

 

The Press Conference was attended by Miss Universe Judge Urvashi Rautela, Subhash Ghai, Annu Kapoor, Pragya Kapoor, Anil Mishra from Ministry of I&B, Col. Tushar Joshi and Mayor of BMC – Smt. Kishori Pednekar as the guest of honour. The Press meet also followed an informative Panel Discussion with the guest of honours.

 

Abhishek pledged to carry the legacy of the Father of Indian Cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke Ji, by making an awareness about the Legend like no other. DPIFF is India’s only independent International Film Festival, with a mission to celebrate the cinema & work of aspiring, young, independent & professional filmmakers the aim is to recognize the enlightening, entertaining & progressive new age cinema of youth & experienced filmmakers.

 

Abhishek always wanted to do something for the society, giving back is what he believed in. Therefore he came up with several initiatives to be executed under the CSR Activity through his organization. His first CSR drive comprised of donating funds to the Army Officers (Bharat Ke Veer). The initiative kept going and his dreams kept fulfilling. He involved activities like Donation of funds to the Acid Attack Victims, Tree Plantation, Beach Cleaning, Feeding the underprivileged, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and so on.

 

Soon the name was known to all, Abhishek Mishra was congratulated and honoured by the Prime Minister of India, Home Minister of India, Finance Minister, Health Minister, Lok Sabha Speaker and many others for his excellent contribution towards the Indian society. The youth team of DPIFF was deeply embraced to make a change in the society, believing in the norms of Gandhi, “Be the change you want to see in the world”.
